We’re looking back to June of 2007 for the week’s FlashBack Friday post. Back then we had our blog ‘rated’ and shared the results. Nothing serious… all in fun. Since then we’ve moved our blog from Blogger to our own .com site here. All of our old content came with us though, so you’d think our ‘rating’ would stay the same.

Not so as you’ll see in the update at the bottom of the post. First up though is the original post from two years ago. Enjoy!

Over at one of our favorite blogs… My Bottom Smarts… we found a fun link to a site that rates blogs from “G” through “NC-17″ based on their content. Same concept you find at the movies…. the more adult content, the less kid friendly the rating.

Not exactly scientific though. The site uses keywords to figure out the rating.

Here is a list of the words we were dinged for:

pain (11x)
hurt (6x)
sex (4x)
sexy (3x)
slap (1x)

Based on those words, we received an ‘R’ rating.

Not very confident in the rating. This blog is strictly for adults (or is it for strict adults only?)… so NC17 would be better. But we shouldn’t get the rating based on those words! They aren’t even bad words… lol.

What’s wrong with the word “pain”??? Could ~easily~ use the word pain in a G rated setting.

Not that we want a G rating mind you, lol. It’s just, you know… things like pictures of bare bottoms should be getting us dinged. So, we don’t put much value in this rating site.

So, we’ve decided to rate ourselves… with something that makes more sense!

Now, two years later we again had our blog rated. If anything we have gotten more adult in the last two years.

Here is what the updated rating found though.

Based on these words:
sex (3x)
sexy (2x)
ass (1x)

… we got a “PG” rating! lol, they think we’re basically a Disney movie here. So yea, we don’t trust this sites rating. We’re going to stick to our own OTK rating.
