Have updated the OTK Fantasy Football League… you can click the banner to the right, or click HERE. Some close games this week. This coming week is going to be a good one though. Four of the Five games will be spanker vs spankee, including a battle between the first and second place teams.

We had a real busy weekend here. Our son turned 16 on Saturday. Hard to believe he will be an “adult” in less than two years now. It doesn’t sound as far away as it feels. He had a few of his friends over to celebrate. There were basically kids here from Friday night to Sunday night. They played video games inside, played Airsoft gun wargames (somewhat similar to paintball) outside… and pretty much ate nonstop in both places.
McDonalds, Sonic, cheeseburgers, hotdogs and pizza was mixed in with candy and soda. There also was a trip to the movies with popcorn and more candy/soda. Of course, not one of these boys had an ounce of fat on them. To be that young… lol.
For us old people, having all that food around made it challenging. It’s not that there are “bad” foods or foods we can’t have. We both do our own thing and pick our own foods. The only “rule” is we have to stay within specific calorie ranges… and of course we have to keep track of our choices in a food journal so we know that we’ve stayed within the calorie goal. Beyond that… if we wanted to ’spend’ all of our calories on pizza, we could do that. Wouldn’t be wise and would make for a hungry day, but it is an option.
On Saturday Suzy made the decision to skip eating during the day so she could have most of her calories for the movies… for soda, popcorn and candy. Once there, she did indeed enjoy all the snacks. Watched Zombieland, which was actually pretty good (especially when you’re on a sugar rush, lol).
Thing is though, Suzy didn’t really keep track of anything. She didn’t know how much popcorn she had, nor was she aware of the candy she ate (amount of calories). Not having much grasp on what was eaten made writing it down pretty pointless… so, Suzy didn’t.
This was after Friday when, late in the night… she sat down and “figured out” what she’d eaten during the previous 15 or so hours. That’s not an accurate system, nor is it making the most of what can be a helpful diet tool. Suzy got a stern warning not to do that again, “or else.”
So not keeping track at all on Saturday wasn’t the wisest thing to do. With a house full of kids though, there wasn’t much that could be done. Then on Sunday… Suzy again didn’t write anything down. She thinks she was “in the ballpark” with her calories, but that’s really just a guess. Monday was a crazy-hectic day around here… and again, Suzy didn’t keep her food journal.
The inevitable happened this morning. Shortly before breakfast Todd asked Suzy to come into the bedroom “for a talk.” Suzy knew what was coming. The conversation started off by acknowledging all the progress that had been made and the importance of keeping it going. We talked about several smaller issues… drinking water, healthy snacks and staying focused even during challenging times (like the previous weekend). It was also made clear that not eating all day and thus being hungry didn’t create ~any~ excuses for breaking rules.
Things then moved to keeping a food journal and how important that was. It not only forces you to consider your choices, but it is the tool we use to know how each other is doing. It’s our
“communication” in this team effort. It was also pointed out that a warning had been given earlier in the week… and that it should have been taken more seriously.
Suzy wasn’t at all argumentative. There were no points she disagreed with. Still… she was hoping for “another chance”… up until Todd said, “so for not keeping your journal you’re going to get a spanking.” Suzy was told to stand and remove her pants, and then she was guided into position. Her panties were pulled down. … it had been a while since the last discipline spanking.
Ten with the Wood Discipline Paddle were given. If you’d like to see that spanking, you can click on the picture or HERE.
Lots of aftercare followed and… Suzy has been writing everything down today.
Oh, as for Todd… he stayed on task all week… and he’s picking a massage as a reward.

Diet Update
Carye: Carye needed to lose 2 pounds this week to make her end of the month goal. Her strategy was to stick with her
diet and really-really focus on exercise. 3 body attack classes, 2 step aerobic classes and 1 box aerobic class later… and Carye was a tired girl. But she was also a 2.7 pound lighter girl. So, congratulations! Carye tells us she can feel the difference in her clothes too, which is a very nice reward for all that hard week.
Her October goal is to lose 7 pounds. So, a little under 2 pounds a week… which is doable. All the exercise makes it that much easier too. Of course, you actually have to *do* the exercise… which is way less than easy. We know Carye can do it though! We’re wishing her all the best and sending good girl hugs her way for having such a great September.
And just to note… lol… we don’t think the pic we used comes from the class Carye actually takes!
_____
Jean: Jean had a bit of an issue with swearing this week. Nothing major, but something she’s been working hard to improve on. Also was a little problem with testing. So, not a perfect week. Still, overall… not too bad.
We’re going to be seeing Jean… and our friend Rose too… this coming weekend in Orlando. Really looking forward to that.
_____
Italian Gal (from Spanked Italian Gal): No update from IG again this week. We know she’s okay… but… she has definitely earned a very real spanking for not keeping in better touch. We will get you updated next week though!
_____
Courtney: Courtney had a really good week. She followed all of her rules, and didn’t have much trouble doing so. She
tells us the “no caffeine” rule that was so near impossible at the start has become easy. In fact, caffeine makes her feel off now. She doesn’t like or want it… and feels a lot better overall without it. So, good for her!
Courtney also shared an interesting experience with her. She had her hubby tale all of her body measurements. Good idea, because that really is the best way to track progress. But, she found it to be really embarrassing. Her husband has obviously seen her naked… pretty close to every day… and they have no secrets. Still though, the measurements thing was no fun.
Of course, it is a motivator to stick with this… and that’s a good thing. We can’t wait for the next time… when lots of progress has been made!
_____
N~ (from Living Domestic Discipline): N~ found herself in the same boat with Suzy. A lack of journaling earned her a
spanking. Only for her, that misdeed cost double. The lack of journaling lead directly to a 1/2 pound gain at the scale… and any gain at all means a spanking. So, she ended up getting that second spanking. Ouch!
Does provide double the incentive to get her butt in gear and make sure she takes care of her journaling though. We know N~ can do it, and we’re totally on the same page about the importance of a food journal. We know we’ve NEVER failed to succeed when we have stayed on top of that task. Lots of luck in the coming week!
_____
Iggy (from Perceptions From the Edge): Our friend is having a bit of a struggle right now. She had a bit of “party drop” when she got home from the SSC. Then some family and work stuff came up… a healthy issue… and basically it was the week from hell.
Long term everything will be fine. But, Iggy is taking the week off from her Weight Watchers plan. Don’t totally agree with that… think it’s better to still keep track, just with using far more flexible rules. But, we support our friend… and mainly hope things get better for her real soon. Big hugs young lady… hang in there!

Ouch! Suzy I can tell it was definately a hard spanking. The wood paddle is evil; especially if its been awhile. Hugs, glad you are doing your food journal now.
October 7th, 2009 - 11:55 am
Suzy, I watched the video and winced. That paddle is evil! I don’t think we’re ready to advance from leather to wood implements – at least I’m not after watching your spanking. Hope the journaling and weight loss go well this week. Meow
October 7th, 2009 - 3:54 pm
OUCH! Suzy, normally I would say you needed a harder spanking, but damn… I think that was hard enough. I hope you do better with the journal this week, please no repeat. That looked painful. *shivers*
October 7th, 2009 - 8:15 pm
ow ow ow ow . . . I feel your pain! I think we should both try to avoid that gain next week. Cyber peas, coming your way! ~N
