In early April of this year we took the plunge and had 20 Spankopoly boards specially made. Though the game had been a big hit when we tested it out in Texas… we were a bit nervous about trying to sell 20 games. A spanking real estate game is going to have a rather limited market, lol… and getting stuck with a bunch of boards wasn’t something we wanted happening.

We’re happy to share though that we have completely sold out of Spankopoly! Not only that, but we’ve got nothing but positive feedback. Our friends at Cane-iac were a big-big help. They not only provided an optional paddle and strap for the game… but the miniature paddles and paddles with holes (the games ‘houses’ and ‘hotels’) were very-very popular.

We had a lot of fun making the game… and we continue having fun playing it. A big-big thank you to all that bought a game… and to those that we’ve had the pleasure playing the game with too. We’re sharing a photo montage of some the fun we’ve had.

We’re still going to make Spankopoly too. The bad news is… we’re not going to order boards in bulk anymore. That’s just too much upfront money for us right now, and we seriously have to wonder if 20 more would sell (the minimum we’d have to order). That means we lose the bulk discount and thus the price of the game has gone up slightly. HOWEVER, we can now include some customization!
