*Birthday Spankings*
Suzy’s birthday is this coming Sunday. We’re going to celebrate a little early by taking a road trip on Friday. Leaning towards a beach somewhere, maybe the St Augustine area. Wont decide for sure until we’re in the car. We’ll get a nice hotel room though and no doubt have a great time.
We’ll get back home early Sunday and have a barbeque and then a traditional birthday cake with the ‘Happy Birthday’ song and some presents. Nothing too elaborate, but we will make the day special. 
Another tradition besides the birthday cake is… the birthday spanking! Suzy has gotten a birthday spanking every year that we’ve been together. In fact, last year she got several (we got to celebrate at a spanking party).
The most basic element to the birthday spanking is one spank for each year (which means a loooong spanking for Suzy, lol). Then there might be “one to grow on”… or other extras (such as one to live on, one to eat on, one to be happy on, one to 
get married on, etc-etc). Some throw a pinch into the mix too. And those are just *vanilla* traditions. Us spankos certainly have ideas of our own too. We know one spanko that gets one spank for each year with EVERY implement. Ouch! Then there is the idea of the spanker ~giving~ a spanking on their birthday.
Where all this started isn’t clear. Birthday spankings were once given to toughen up a child… because it was feared that evil spirits would be especially active on such a big day (and obviously a spanking was the cure, lol). Those don’t exactly sound like fun spankings to us. The more modern tradition of fun birthday spankings might have something to do with that first ever spanking the doctor delivered after birth.

I don’t remember ever having a birthday spanking. I’m willing to give one and I have the paddles to do it, of course if I knew someone I could trust I would be willing to receive one.

They weren’t a tradition when I was growing up, and I haven’t had one as an adult either – yet! I haven’t given up hope. Since Ron has now agreed to give me spankings when I think I need them,I just might be able to convince him that I really need a birthday spanking this year. And yes, it will be a looooong one too!

Sadly I have never received a birthday spanking, though for the last 4 birthdays I have been hopeful that unblemished record would change. And here I will be celebrating the 12th anniversary of my 30th birthday in just over a week. *sighs* Well…a bit of an early HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Suzy! *huggggggs*

I did my first Real Spankings shoot on my 18th birthday, but have never received a real birthday spanking.

Birthday spankings were popular when I was growing up. They were given playfully. When I was in elementary school some of the teachers would even give them if your birthday actually came on a school day. They would call you up front and have you bend over facing the class and give you swats with the paddle. They were never hard..not like a real paddling!! The only time I have ever received a birthday spanking as an adult was this year and it just happened to be my 50th birthday. My friend made it extra special too! I got two birthday spankings one with his hand and another with what he called “the birthday belt”…one of his old belts that he was giving me as a gift. Sooooo..on my 50th birthday I got two birthday spankings, taken to dinner then spanked again for real!
For a spankee…it was a dream come true and a birthday to remember.

I’d never even heard of a birthday spanking until I started hanging around spankos online. Here, it was “the bumps” that they doled out. A horrid thing that I avoided. I don’t tend to like being mobbed by people and then thrown up in the air and “bumped” into the ground.
Technically, I’ve never had a real birthday spanking. I did get one at the FMS, but that was 2 months after my birthday so I don’t actually count that as a birthday spanking.

As an adult or growing up I have never received a birthday spanking, it is one of my greatest ambitions to get one, well a birthday caning to be specific. Like Iggy, where I grew up the birthday tradition was the bumps, I would rather be spanked.

I’m sad to say that I also have never received a birthday spanking. Maybe this year? It would make a great resolution!
