Did you get and/or give birthday spankings growing up? How about now as an adult? How do they work… do they have much sting, what beyond one per year is added to them?

We want to start by thanking everyone that sent Suzy Happy Birthday wishes… very much appreciated, Was a fun day for sure, and we’ll post more about it real soon. Right now though, we need to Wrap-Up this week’s Roundtable topic. Really enjoyed it too… birthday spankings are always fun.

Looks like birthday spankings are popular. Nearly 3 in 4 have given and/or received one… and overall, half have done so within the last year. We certainly fall in that “within a year” category ourselves.

Sherryl said: I don’t remember ever having a birthday spanking. I’m willing to give one and I have the paddles to do it, of course if I knew someone I could trust I would be willing to receive one.

~We like hands over paddles for birthday spankings… though certainly have seen some use paddles for the big day. And yes… do have to trust a spanker, even for a birthday spanking.~

Hermione said: They weren’t a tradition when I was growing up, and I haven’t had one as an adult either – yet! I haven’t given up hope. Since Ron has now agreed to give me spankings when I think I need them,I just might be able to convince him that I really need a birthday spanking this year. And yes, it will be a looooong one too!

~We’re thinking you will be getting a birthday spanking real soon. You know though, we’ve had spanko friends that have done “make up” birthday spankings… that is, getting a birthday spanking for each birthday that was missed. If you’ve never gotten one… lol… yea, a looong spanking!~

~Well… late birthday spankings are allowed. Doesn’t always work on the exact day, but certainly can get one the next time you have a spanking opportunity.~

When I was in elementary school some of the teachers would even give them if your birthday actually came on a school day. They would call you up front and have you bend over facing the class and give you swats with the paddle. They were never hard..not like a real paddling!! The only time I have ever received a birthday spanking as an adult was this year and it just happened to be my 50th birthday. My friend made it extra special too! I got two birthday spankings one with his hand and another with what he called “the birthday belt”…one of his old belts that he was giving me as a gift. Sooooo..on my 50th birthday I got two birthday spankings, taken to dinner then spanked again for real! For a spankee…it was a dream come true and a birthday to remember.

iggy said: I’d never even heard of a birthday spanking until I started hanging around spankos online. Here, it was “the bumps” that they doled out. A horrid thing that I avoided. I don’t tend to like being mobbed by people and then thrown up in the air and “bumped” into the ground.

Technically, I’ve never had a real birthday spanking. I did get one at the FMS, but that was 2 months after my birthday so I don’t actually count that as a birthday spanking.

~Yep, have heard of “the bumps”… which doesn’t sound fun or playful. Spankings are much more civilized!~

~The best possible way to get a birthday spanking is to attend a spanking party on or near your birthday. Pretty crazy how many spankings that earns, lol. Last year Suzy got at least 10 spanking on her birthday for that reason.~

Suzy Says:  I’ve always gotten birthday spankings… When I was a little girl I got them and of course they were not hard but got however the # of the birthday was.  Once I was an adult I usually had a party of some kind or a group of people to celebrate with, so I got numerous birthday spankings which were very light and playful and over pants… once I got with Todd and officially got a REAL spanking lol.. I still get birthday spankings but now they are on the bare and some of them very hard depending on what he thinks that year deserves   I love birthdays and always like getting birthday spankings and I especially like when something special is thrown into the mix to make it more individual and just  ’for me’

Todd Says: I do give birthday spankings. In fact, I gave one today! I try to make them fun and a little silly… but do put a little sting in them too. I usually emphasize several ‘years’ during the spanking. A little extra on the spank for #2 (terrible twos), #13 (you’re a teenager now), #16 (everyone is naughty at 16), #21 (you are legal now)… etc-etc. The better I know a spankee, the more fun I can have with this little game.

Growing up, birthday spankings were overly common, but they certainly did happen. Can recall a few at home and school. They were always very light and over clothes. Barely even a spanking really… and actually, the pinch at the end of the spanking was probably the only thing that could really be felt.

As a spanko, like I said… like to make the spanking be felt at least a little, And of course, I’m open to the spanking being on the bare-bottom too…

Neat thing to is… I get to give spankings on my birthday. In fact, I usually get to give several… which is a nice gift. Big fan of birthday spankings!
