Happy New Year! Boy did 2009 fly by FAST. Going through the posts from last January (looking for FlashBack Friday possibilities)… and it felt like we blinked and an entire year had passed. It certainly was an awesome year though. Health, good luck and happiness. We had it all!

That included the spanking side of things too. We couldn’t have had a better year. So much fun! We were blessed to make new friends and build on old friendships. The year got off to a perfect start too with a New Year’s spanking. Today we’re going to flashback 365 days to that first spanking of 2009. Enjoy!

Happy 2009! Hope you had a fun… and safe… New Year’s celebration. Hard to believe that this is the last year of the decade. Seems like just yesterday we were doing the Y2K thing. But here we are already closing out the ‘oughts’.

As fast as time flies, it makes sense to make the most of it… so we hope you’ve gotten to enjoy your first spanking of 2009 already. We can tell you that we sure have!

Our good friend Amber (from Amber’s Spanking Journal) is here spending a few days with us. The three of us had planned to fix a nice dinner for New Year’s Eve, but we ended up watching ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ instead… and by the time it was over, time was a bit short. So, we decided to push the dinner back a day and have Taco Bell instead.

The movie was lots of fun though. Amber had never seen it before and she got a big kick out of it.

After the movie finished up we flipped the TV on to the Times Square celebration. There was about 30 minutes to go still, so we got some drinks. Suzy and Amber had some wine… Todd some cranberry juice… and we toasted away 2008 to the sights and sounds from New York City.

We also shared some New Year’s resolutions. All of us picked exercising more as one of the things we’re going to work on. Also joked that ‘more spanking’ would be a good idea too.

To that end… we all decided that it would be fun to ring in the New Year, spanko style. So the girls positioned their knees on the couch with their elbows on the coffee table… so they could see the TV. Todd sat in the middle… in perfect position.

With 5 minutes to go in 2008… Todd started to spank the girls over their panties. Suzy was on the left, Amber on the right.

The spanking was light at first… building in intensity as the year came closer and closer to a close. With a minute to go, panties came down… and the spanking definitely got more intense.

As Todd spanked, he lectured… playfully… that he expected nothing but good girl behavior in 2009. That any naughtiness would earn a spanking. The girls pointed out that they’d already had a perfect 2008… yet here they were, being spanked anyway.

Clearly there was a difference of opinion as to what ‘good girl behavior’ was… lol.

The massive crowd in Times Square counts out the last 10 seconds of the year. It’s a fun vanilla tradition. As they counted down to 2009… Todd spanked to each number…

… the spanks were getting harder as each second was counted…

… and as the crowd cheered, Amber reacted to her last spank of 2008 by opening up the year 2009 by dropping an F bomb…

Amber laughed, which completely sealed her fate.

Two seconds into the new year… and she was already getting spanked for being naughty!

Suzy found this all very funny. When warned to stop laughing, she pointed out… “I didn’t say fuck!” Of course, in doing so… she’d dropped an F bomb and thus earned her first spanking of 2009. She did MUCH better than Amber though, having gone nearly 10 full seconds without getting herself into trouble.

Given the immediate naughtiness of the New Year and the trouble Suzy and Amber found themselves in, you’d think they’d be very-very sorry and take their spanking like good girls.

Not so much.

They started throwing plastic fruit at Todd… *during* their spanking.

That earned them both a spanking… with a plastic banana. That has to be a first, lol.

It was all in fun and we really did enjoy ourselves. A wonderful way to start the New Year.

2009 is going to be a good one filled with lots of spanking.
