Yesterday’s FlashBack post was about the spanking fun we had to ring in the year 2009. As good luck would have it, we got to ring in the year 2010 in a similar fashion. Great fun, and we highly recommend it! Here are the highlights… 
Our good friend Munchkin was headed to Miami for the Dolphins-
Steelers football game. She and her hubby D are big time Steelers fans and they’d picked up tickets for the game a couple of months ago. D had to fly in after taking care of business out of town though, so that meant Munchkin had to make the drive down by herself.
Being on the road on New Year’s Eve isn’t the safest of options, and since we’re at about the halfway mark on her trip… it made perfect sense for her to stop by and see us… and ring in the New Year. 
Always a bit tricky actually getting here, in good part because GPS tries to get folks to take a road that no longer exists. Munchkin made good time though, and got here right before it turned dark, We got to visit for bit and then had a nice New Year’s Eve meal… ham and black-eyed peas. Suzy made the black-eyed peas, for the first time ever, and they turned out real good.
After dinner we watched the Saturday Night Live Christmas special on our DVR. Very funny collection of old skits. We’d seen them all, but they were great to see again. Only thing though… what the heck is the deal with this “Gilly” character they had hosting? Is the gag supposed to be that she’s NOT funny… lol. Maybe we’re just too old to be hip?
We watched a couple of other things, but mainly just sat around and visited. Munchkin is lots of fun and is super easy to talk with.
Around 11:30 we switched the TV over to NBC and their Times Square coverage. With about 5 minutes left in 2009 we all got into position… Suzy’s to the left of Todd, Munchkin to the right with both girls positioned halfway on the couch 
and padded coffee table.
With one minute left in the ‘old’ year’… the spanking started. Suzy’s bottom getting the left hand, Munchkin the right… in rhythmic order. Todd noted that, “This is your last spanking of 2009 and of the decade.”
When the count got to 10, the crowd in New York started to count and the camera moved to the ball. The spanks matched the count with each swat getting harder and harder. The last one was the hardest… and then…
Happy New Year!
Of course, a second later it was time for the first spanking of 2010 and the new decade.

Glad to hear you guys had a Happy New Year! It’s also good to know that munchkin and Suzy got a good start to the new year. We all know they both will need it…lol.

It’s so not fair that I had to get spanked first thing of the New Year just because Suzy needs a spanking to behave…..I just happened to be there at the time, an innocent bystander, dragged into it with her. He should spank her again to make up for it.

Gilly is a fairly new character on SNL, played by Kristen Wiig. Essentially, she’s a monstrous child who looks like Little Orphan Annie and who wreaks havoc in her classroom, on her classmates and her teacher (Will Forte) in every sketch. Guess what? Every time she comes on, I change the channel — I don’t think she’s funny either!

Munchkin, Yeah doesn’t seem fair that an innocent bystander would get spanked. Maybe you should report Todd to the SSU.
