We’re back online… finally… and here is the Diet Update, a day late.
We had a busy week but fun week here. It started with a trip to
Alabama to see Suzy’s Dad and step-mom. They’re both doing real well and we always enjoy visiting them. We were real happy with our 16 year old son too. He was polite and mature and did a great job having adult conversations. Sometimes worry because… well, he can be a touch moody here at time, lol. And while we know that is just a phase… it’s nice to see how well he can conduct himself when he wants to (and needs to).
Of course, as always there was a huge breakfast and a really nice dinner during our stay. No shortage of snacks and good food either… nor lack of pressure to enjoy it.
Besides our visit with family in Alabama we also got to meet up with our good friends Dan and Munchkin and attend
the Senior Bowl with them in Mobile. For those that don’t know, the Senior Bowl is a game between college football seniors from the North and the South… some of the best players in the country. Tim Tebow from the Florida Gators… from right down the road from our home here… was one of the players in this year’s game. We were excited to get to see him play in his final college football game.
The big thing about the Senior Bowl for the fans isn’t really the game though. It’s more the tailgate party before the game. So even though the game didn’t kickoff until nearly 4 o’clock, we arrived at a little after 8 in the morning and got things going.
Our group had 15 or 20 people in it and they were a lot of fun. It was about 50 degrees which wasn’t bad… but there
was a stiff wind that made it feel much colder. We did have a tent though and that really helped. Also had a large barbeque grill that heated things up.
And the food… oh my goodness… so good. So much of it too. Not just meats either, but breads, chips, salads, sodas, desserts and one and on it went. There was lots of good eating to go with the good conversation.
The actual game was pretty good too, well at least the first half was. We had seats near the 50 yard line and a prefect view. Got to see Tim Tebow up close. The North was leading 17-13 at the half… and… the temperature was dropping. It got down to 40 and that was just too cold for us. We left at halftime, as did many others. The North team went on to destroy the South anyway, so we didn’t miss much. Did have a great time though and a big thank you to Dan and Munchkin for inviting us.
Then after we got back to Florida and home the week closed out with a visit from R and S (from Rambling Thoughts). They’d been down here visiting family and getting some business stuff taken care of. On their way home they stopped to see us.
They’re both doing real well. R… who had a bit of a health scare recently… looked and felt great. We had a lovely visit with them. And, of course… we had a couple of nice meals. There was a dinner here and then a lunch the next day at BubbaQues, which we’ve talked about before. They have some interesting decorations on the wall, including a few
things that would make interesting spanking implements (pictured at the very top left).
They also have lots of different barbeque sauces, including Rump Roaster… you can see R in the background.
No spanking during our busy week, but that was perfectly fine. We had a great time seeing family and friends. Really did enjoy ourselves.
As you can probably guess though, the diet didn’t go real well. We did expect that.
Things are back to normal here now though. Not a lot going on this week and we’re already back on track diet wise.

Friends Update
Carye: No update from Carye this week, but we’ll be sure to catch you up next week.
_____
Jean: Jean had a mixed week. Some problems with a few rules… and success with others. It seems like she sometimes slips a bit when we’re out of touch with her… like we were this week thanks to our Alabama trip and then the internet issues when we got back.
Good news though… we will be seeing Jean in less than two weeks at our private Valentine’s Day spanking party on Ocala. Should be a fun time. Hopefully Jean will be a good girl and keep herself out of trouble between now and then too.
_____
Courtney: Courtney has been enduring a winter storm. There has been lots and lots of snow which is quite pretty…
but it certainly has made it tough to get out of the house. Even covering the somewhat short distance to work as been a challenge. Beyond that commute, it’s been all in-doors time. That doesn’t make the diet easy for Courtney. Too much sitting around at home can lead to too much snacking.
And too much snacking can… and in this case did… lead to a discipline spanking being earned. That spanking is coming tonight. Courtney isn’t looking forward to it on the one hand. But on the other, she’d just like to get it over with and move on to the new week with a clean slate. We understand that feeling… and wish her luck (and a soft pillow).
_____
N~ (from Living Domestic Discipline): N~ continued her success this week with a very nice 2.2 pound loss. She also followed all of her rules and thus avoided a discipline spanking. Great news! She really has been on a good roll lately.
Hubby K~ also had a solid week. He was down 0.6 pounds for the week. Good news all around… which is what we like to hear.
_____
Iggy (from Perceptions From the Edge): Iggy has been doing good with her “maintain” plan. Over the last two weeks her weight has fluctuated by less than a pound. That’s exactly what she wants right now, so that is good news.
The plan is to enjoy the visit she has with her best friend next week… then get back into the diet swing and again work on losing weight. We really like setting aside time to maintain. It allows Iggy a little break to focus on other things, while not letting diet progress slip away.
_____
Korey Johnson (from Spank Notes): Still no update from Korey… hope all is okay and that we hear from her soon.
_______________
Good luck to everyone in the coming week.

I’m glad you had a good weekend and are back to us:) Last Sunday, I dared to weight myself on a medical scale for the first time in a few weeks and found I’d lost about eight pounds since the last time I dared to do the same
. I really think all I’ve done thus far is cut out a lot of cokes. And tightening by budget for Atlantic City has meant……………No more beer……………
Other then beverage issues, I’ve been watching what I eat now, though I”m most vunlerabe after midnight, and haven’t been much of a pillar of virtue during that time recently. I do a better job of “whole grains and veggie heavy” during the day, and that’s been making up for it it seems;though less late night excuses and more consistant conduct needed here.
Not only are all my sized 44 pants too big for me now, my one pair of 42s are getting baggy. Hopefully I”ll be in 40s or even 38s by April. AT any rate, they’ll need to fit…… I once had my pants fall down in front of a crowd when I took my belt off to whip a ladys naughty bottom, and I will NEVER blush like that in front of a huge throng again!
